BrandAmerica is the culmination of a decade of investment and business success. The foundation of the company was laid in 1992, when Michael Sadak launched The Sunchi Group (“Sunchi) to provide international expansion opportunities to U.S. companies.

Over its history, Sunchi developed a number of American franchises in Asia, including the 24-hour Fitness Asian subsidiary, California Fitness; Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Restaurant; National Sports Grill; Kidsports; and Gold’s Gym. The company also successfully licensed and distributed a number of consumer products in the Asian market.

BrandAmerica was incorporated in March of 2002 as a California C-Corporation for the purpose of holding managements' consolidated interests. The Company was infused with its first two portfolio brands in 2003, consisting of founding managements' ownership interest in Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Asia and Gold’s Gym Asia.

For the sake of simplicity and to adequately reflect the time-tested experience of the BrandAmerica management team, the team’s collective history is incorporated into and referred to as BrandAmerica’s history.
